The branch offers several forms of support to new parents

Postnatal Support Groups

We have a network of postnatal support groups.  Once a group has completed the antenatal courses we encourage them to continue meeting through our postnatal supporters.  These supporters are usually recent Mums who volunteer to host the meetings at their own houses to provide an opportunity for new parents to meet regularly.

For more details please e-mail us at nctwycombe@btinternet.com, call us on 07005 803179 or use our website contact form.

New Baby, New You!

New Baby, New You! Courses are run by trained NCT Leaders and are designed to complement those offered by your Local Health Authority, not to replace them. The course focuses primarily on YOU and your experiences of life with a new baby. It is a brilliant way to meet other new mums and share experiences.

Bumps 'n' Babes

Every Thursday 10 am to 12 noon we hold a social for any mum who is expecting or with babies up to a year old.  Fathers are welcome too!  Come to St Andrew's Church Hall, off Hatters Lane, Totteridge, High Wycombe.  Drop in, have a coffee and a chat and meet with other Mums (and Dad's) with little ones.  There is nominal charge of £1 to cover refreshments and hire of the hall.

Caesarean Birth Contacts

If you have had a Caesarean or will be having one and would like the chance to meet or talk with others about all aspects of this experience, we are available to meet and talk to anybody who requires our support.

Working Mothers Group

The Working Mum's group meet once at a month at the Papermill pub in Loudwater contact us for more details.

Our antenatal teachers and postnatal leaders undergo a thorough training with the NCT although they are not required to be medically qualified.  All teachers, counsellors and leaders are expected to keep up to date with the latest developments in maternity care and must register with us every year.  Their role is to offer support, information, practical skills and resources to help parents make informed choices for themselves and their babies.  They do not offer medical advice and parents are asked to take any questions about the medical care of mother and baby to their midwife, health visitor or doctor.
If you need help or information, or would like to become a postnatal supporter, then please e-mail us at nctwycombe@btinternet.com or use our website contact form.
